How to configure acteedog for the first time
After installing acteedog, the first thing to do is configure the application. This allows acteedog to integrate properly with your environment and enables smooth daily report generation and data collection.
This section covers the basic configuration steps required to generate your first daily report. For more detailed configuration options, see Application Configuration.
Open Settings
Click the Settings button in the sidebar to open the settings screen.
Language and Theme
From Global Settings > General, you can select the display language and theme for the application. After configuring to your preference, click the Save Settings button to apply the changes.
Install and Configure Connectors
To collect activity data and generate daily reports, you need to install and configure the relevant connectors. Follow the steps below. The GitHub connector is used here as an example.
- Go to Workspace Settings > Connectors.
- Click the
Installbutton for the connector you want to use (here,Github Connector). - Once installation is complete, restart the application as instructed on screen.
- After restarting, open the same settings screen again and click the
Configurebutton for the installed connector. - Enter the required information such as Personal Access Token and Username.
- Click the
Testbutton to verify the connection succeeds, then clickSave Settingsto apply the changes.

LLM Integration (Optional)
This step is optional. Even without LLM integration, you can use the structured prompt output from acteedog with your preferred LLM interface (e.g., OpenAI, Google Gemini) to generate daily reports.
From Global Settings > Daily Report > LLM Integration, enter the provider, API key, model, and other details, then save the settings.
